Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) Since established in 1956, with the concerns of Party and state leaders of all generations, related ministries and committees of the government, with the support from the colleagues in agricultural machinery industry, with the sustainable striving and efforts making of the academy staff of several generations, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Mechanization Sciences (CAAMS) has been growing from small to big and became become a large scientific and technological enterprise engaged in scientific research, scientific and technological industry and engineering directly under the leadership of the Central Government of China. CAAMS has more than 3,600 staff and 1,600 experts and professional technicians, turnover of RMB 844 million Yuan, profit of RMB 62.9 million Yuan and the total assets of RMB 1.1 billion Yuan. CAAMS covers many professional technology research areas, gives priority to technological equipments of modern agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery along with the development of related high-tech industries.
As the largest research organization with the strongest innovation ability, multi-disciplines comprehensiveness R & D on modern agricultural equipment, CAAMS has contracted more than 2,000 scientific and technological projects of national and ministerial level, obtained 1,800 important technological achievements, gained over 460 scientific research awards of national, provincial and ministerial level and provided more than 3,000 agricultural machines and technologies in 9 categories in the past 50 years. According to the incomplete statistics, most of homemade machines and equipments for food, economic crops and animal husbandry production originally came from CAAMS or the co-operation and R & D between CAAMS and related organizations. These high-level technologies transformed to enterprise with batch production satisfied the demand of planting, animal breeding and agro-product processing development in China. The engineering machines, ground equipment for airport and aeronautics & astronautics technology also well met the needs of related industries of national economy and national defense construction. CAAMS procured great achievements in other technical fields, gained 195 national patents, drew up and modified over 1,200 national and trade standards, published 622 academic papers and more than 100 technical monographs, edited and sponsored over 10 professional periodicals such as Agricultural Machinery, Transaction of the Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery and etc. during that period of time. Our academy possesses the leading position in agricultural machinery research field and gathers all kinds of excellent experts and professionals and it has the qualification of conferring Master and Doctor Degrees in the related fields.
After 50 years unremittingly striving, CAAMS effectively promoted raising the products quality and technological level of agricultural machinery industry by way of continuously providing advanced technologies to agricultural machinery enterprises, organizing scientific and technological activities to overcome the tackling key problems of the industry, formulating and executing national & trade technical standards, implementing the quality inspection and supervision of agricultural machinery and actively co-operating with China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association and Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery in organizing domestic and international technical exchange activities. Along with enlarging the influence on the industry, CAAMS was appointed by the state of National Research Center of Agricultural Machinery Engineering Technology, National Research Center of Agricultural Modernization Equipment, National Research Center of Grassland & Animal Husbandry Equipment Engineering Technology, National Promoting Center for Agricultural Machinery Productivity and Key Laboratories of the State Machinery Industry for Mechanical Structural Security & Reliability. The academy is also where China National Agricultural Machinery Quality Supervision Testing Center, Committee of National Agricultural Machinery Standardization Technology located and Chinese Society for Agricultural Machinery and China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association…etc. affiliated to CAAMS.
